For those with a busy schedule the key is power walking! The most important aspect is pumping your arms while walking heel to toe. Also, shorten your steps to take as many as possible. Both of these can aid in more calories burned. Or, if you’re not up to power walking…use the time for an easy stroll while focusing on your breathing.

For those who have 20 to 30 minutes…use it for interval training. Focus on bursts of a quicker speed to help you get your heart rate up…but, with an easier pace in between. Repeating the intervals will help with burning calories as well.

Finally, for folks with more time on their hands…focus on your endurance. Set a moderate and steady pace that you can maintain. If this becomes a part of your normal routine, eventually you’ll be able to up your speed. also, use the time to focus on your mental health. Focus on breathing and listening to the natural sounds around you as a way to get your mind off your to-do list.
