President Biden Grants Clemency to 78 People to Mark ‘Second Chance Month’

President Biden will mark ‘Second Chance Month’ at the White House today. The president will commute the sentences of 75 people behind bars for nonviolent drug offenses, issue full pardons for three individuals who the administration says have worked toward rehabilitation and unveil new actions aimed at easing the transition back to normal life for the formerly incarcerated. Among those being pardoned is Abraham Bolden Sr. a former Secret Service agent and the first African American to serve on a presidential detail. Bolden was convicted of charges related to attempting to sell a copy of a Secret Service file.
