Mass Graves Identified Near Mariupol
The war in Ukraine continues and Ukrainian officials say they’ve identified mass grave sights outside the city of Mariupol. Officials say the graves which have been photographed and analyzed by U.S. satellite imagery company ‘Maxar Technologies’ appear to show more than 200 new graves at a sight near Manhush which is 12 miles west of Mariupol. An estimated 100,000 people remain trapped in the city according to Ukrainian officials. No evacuation routes are open today due to the ‘danger on the routes’ according to Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk and Ukrainian officials have appealed to the Russians to guarantee safe passage for civilians trapped in the city. Ukrainian officials also claim that more than 20,000 people in the city have died during the assault.
