Who’s for a 4-day work week? California may be heading that way if a bill goes through. Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia is proposing to shorten a typical week to 32 hours. Garcia notes 47 million employees have made transitions over the past two years in the workforce and have re-evaluated priorities. Having more flexibility is one of them. Stats also show that American employees work more hours than other industrial nations and some of those like Iceland have a 4-day work week. The bill is under review with the Labor and Employment Committee.
