Philadelphia Bringing Back Indoor Mask Mandates

Philadelphia has become the first major city in the United States to reinstate their indoor mask mandates as the number of Coronavirus cases rises once again. On April 18th, the city will move to it’s second level of Covid-19 restrictions which requires everyone to wear masks in all indoor places including schools, businesses, restaurants and government buildings. the city’s Public Health Commission announced the decision yesterday as the case count is more than 50% higher than it was 10 days ago, which is now averaging at 142 cases each day. The Commissioner said “by wearing masks consistently, we can continue to go about our daily lives and continue to take part in the life of our city without contributing to increasing transmission of Covid-19.”
