There are some great local events this weekend…here’s what’s going on in the area.

The Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival begins today and runs through Sunday at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion downtown. Parking is first come first serve so get out there early. There’s going to be live music plus over 50 food trucks and other vendors as well.

The Socastee High School Performing Arts’ spring musical is also this weekend. “The Drowsey Chaperone” is a jazz age musical, featuring plenty of show-stopping song and dance numbers. Get your tickets and see the show tonight, tomorrow, or Sunday.

Thompson Farm is gearing up for Easter with their 9th Annual Helicopter Egg Drop on Sunday. From 10:00 to 4:00pm out at the farm in Conway you can find a petting zoo, wagon rides, plenty of activities for the kids as well as the Easter bunny!

Speaking of the Easter bunny…head out to Coastal Grand Mall and get family pictures with the rabbit. The bunny will be available for meet and greets and photos now through Easter Sunday.
