Records Show Seven Hour Gap in President Trumps Call Logs from January 6th
White House records from the day of the Capitol Riots show a gap of more than 7 hours in phone calls placed to or from former President Trump. The 11 pages of the White House diary and switchboard call logs show phone calls Trump had with at least eight people the morning of January 6th and 11 people that night with no notation of calls from 11:17 a.m. through 6:54 p.m. The lack of documentation leaves holes in investigator’s understanding of what happened on the day of the insurrection. The committee has subpoenaed phone records of more than 100 people and investigators are looking into whether Trump communicated through backchannels, aides’ phones or burner phones. The committee is also looking into whether or not they received the full logs.
