President Zelenskyy Says 100,000 People are Trapped in Mariupol

Zelenskyy is once again calling for more pressure on Russia.

Ukrainian forces continue the fight to take back their territory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is once again calling for more pressure on Russia. In his most recent video address, Zelenskyy said that about 100,000 people are still stuck in the port city of Mariupol under a blockade and suffering “inhumane conditions.” The President’s plea comes as Russia has launched new missile strikes at military barracks, reportedly killing dozens of Ukrainian troops. Local officials say rescue operations are still under way as several cities remain under attack.
