Darlington Raceway Throwback Parade Returns

According to Darlington Raceway President Kerry Tharp, the parade "showcases all the pageantry, tradition, and excitement of nascar coming to the Pee Dee region of South Carolina."

The Darlington Raceway Throwback Parade is back. After a three year hiatus, the parade formerly known as the Southern 500 Parade will return as part of the official throwback weekend of Nascar on May 7th. According to Darlington Raceway President Kerry Tharp, the parade “showcases all the pageantry, tradition, and excitement of nascar coming to the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.” The parade will travel through downtown Darlington to the track and end in the Nascar Xfinity Series garage. Floats, marching bands, classic vehicles, retired race cars, Nascar celebrities and more will be present during the parade.
