Russian Forces Bomb Theater Where Hundreds Were Hiding

The war in the Ukraine continues. yesterday a theater where hundreds of people were taking shelter in Mariupol was bombed.
City council said Russian forces had “purposefully and cynically destroyed the drama theater in the heart of Mariupol,” and added “the plane dropped a bomb on a building where hundreds of peaceful Maruipol residents were hiding.” The front and back parking lots of the building were marked with the word ‘children’ in Russian. The good news is that they have been able to start clearing debris and people are emerging from the theater as the bomb shelter withstood the blast, though it is unknown how many people were injured or died in the bombings. A city government official said the building was for civilians, with only women and young children hiding within it and not military personnel.

In other war news, Russian President Putin is seizing hundreds of commercial jets owned by United States and European leasing industries after signing a bill into effect Monday as part of the government’s anti-sanction measures which will allow the country to register planes leased for foreign companies in Russia.
