Second Reading Passed for Fireworks Free Zones in Horry County
Last night, the Horry County Council passed the second reading to enforce Firework Free Zones along the Grand Strand. There is only one more reading for the law to pass through and if it’s approved, certain areas in each district will be marked as Firework Free Zones. The law is part of an effort to avoid making all areas of Horry County Firework Free. Each zone would be based upon community members around the area coming to a councilman and complaining. The council is still discussing ways to enforce the zones.
