Man Charged in Birthday Party Shootings That Killed Two

A man has been charged in connection to the shooting at a birthday party near Pembroke on Sunday. 20 year old Joshton Locklear faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony conspiracy in the deaths of 20 year old Randi Hunt of Rowland and 15 year old Hezachi Oxendine of Pembroke. He is being held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center. The shooting happened shortly before 1 am in the 1100 block of Jones Road. Hunt died at the scene and Oxendine died after being flown to a hospital in Chapel Hill. Oxendine was a student at Purnell Swett High School. An investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is being asked to call the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
