Russian Forces Strike Maternity Hospital in Ukraine Amid 12 Hour Ceasefire

Yesterday, Russian forces bombed a maternity and children’s hospital as the attack came despite Russia’s agreement to a 12 hour cease-fire to allow refugees to evacuate a number of cities and towns. President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation and called the bombing an ‘audacity’. The Mariupol council said the ‘destruction was enormous’ and added ‘the medical facility where the children were treated recently is completely destroyed.’ Zelensky also repeated his call to NATO to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
