Florence County Deputy Fired After DUI Arrest

A Florence County Sheriff’s Office Deputy has been let go after being arrested last Saturday. Ex-officer Eric Stone was fired from the force after being charged with a DUI. According to SC Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brian Lee, Stone was pulled over for driving 79 in a 55 zone on Highway 41 near Railroad Avenue in Johnsonville. At the time of the incident, Stone was offered a breathalyzer test but refused it. He has been released from the Florence County Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
