North Myrtle Beach City Council Votes for Burn Ban on Beach
Last night, the North Myrtle Beach City Council voted in favor of banning fires on the beach. Under the new ordinance, no one will be able to start, build, ignite or maintain a fire or open flame or use propane grills, cookers or heating devices heated by fires on any public beach, beach access, street end adjacent to the beach or any government land immediately adjacent to the beach. The ordinance was suggested after a number of close calls related to open fires on the beach. The new change will go into effect immediately.
