Gas Prices Reach a Record High Average of $4.17 a Gallon

The average cost of a gallon of gas has risen once again. According to AAA, the cost for a gallon of fuel is $4.17. That number breaks the previous price tag record of $4.11 a gallon set back in July of 2008. Gas prices are expected to rise as Russia continues the invasion of Ukraine. According to the oil price information service, prices rose 10 cents since early Monday, with 3 cents happening overnight. The new average means the price is up 55 cents a gallon in a week and 63 cents since Russia invaded the Ukraine.
