18 Year Old Student Charged After Gun, Marijuana Seized From Vehicle

An 18 year old Academy for Technology and Academics student was arrested after police found a loaded AR 15 firearm and drugs inside his vehicle. Police made the discovery on Wednesday afternoon which led to the arrest of Dontarrius Livingston. Lisa Bourcier, a spokesperson for the district released a statement saying “a school administrator approached the student and searched the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a bag of marijuana, a box of ammunition, and the loaded gun. Law enforcement was immediately contacted, and the incident remains under investigation. After the incident Bourcier has reminded students of the importance of not bringing weapons of any kind to school property and to report anything they see that causes them to feel uneasy. As of this morning, Livingston was still behind bars at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
