Robeson County Schools End Mask Mandate
At a meeting held last night, the Robeson County School Board of Education voted to remove the mask mandate that’s been in place since the start of the school year. The decision to remove the mandate follows changes approved by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Other announced changes include the reopening of schools to parents and visitors, school cafeteria’s being reopened based of staffing levels and masks no longer required at athletic events. In addition, anyone exposed to the virus will no longer be required to quarantine but they will need to wear a mask for 10 days. Students will still be required to wear face coverings on school buses.
