Florence One Schools, City of Florence and Housing Authority of Florence Begin Tutoring Program

A new partnership between Florence One Schools, the city of Florence and the Housing Authority of Florence began last week. The program gives students access to free one-on-one tutoring across multiple locations twice a week. District Superintendent Dr. Richard O’Malley said “We just thought there was another way to get some personal tutoring. Especially for students that may not have this opportunity or frankly can’t afford this one-to-one type of tutoring.” O’Malley added they hope to expand the program following this semester and are working to offer it in the Summer and next Fall.
