Bond Set For Hemingway Police Officer After Fatal Shooting in Georgetown

A Hemingway Police Officer is in custody following an officer involved shooting over the weekend. The officer identified as 52 year old Cassandra Dollard is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of 46 year old Robert Langley. Langley was shot and killed on Sunday morning after a police chase that started with a traffic stop by a Hemingway Police Department officer in Williamsburg County, then led into Georgetown County and ended after the crash and shooting. SLED is continuing to investigate the incident. According to records, Dollard was previously let go from two other law enforcement agencies in the state once in 2014 and another time in 2002. Her bond was set this morning at $150,000 and she has 10 days to pay it.
