America Adds 467,000 Jobs in January

America’s job report got an unexpected boost last month despite the Omicron variant spreading rapidly throughout the United States. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the economy added 467,000 jobs last month with restaurants and bars adding more than  100,000 of those jobs. Logistics and business service jobs were also involved with the increase. Last month, the number of people working remotely because of the Coronavirus increased to 15.4% and a total of 6 million people said they worked fewer hours or not at all because of their employer closing or losing business.
