More Details Surface on 2020 Election Debacles

It's unclear who drafted the executive orders and neither were actually issued.

More details surrounding the 2020 elections have surfaced.  According to multiple sources, former president Donald Trump’s advisers drafted two versions of executive orders to seize voting machines, one directing the Department of Defense to do so and another the department of Homeland Security.  It’s unclear who drafted the executive orders and neither were actually issued.   Some of the documents that were handed over to the House Select Committee investigating the capitol riots had to be taped back together by National Archives staff because allegedly they had been ripped up by the former president.   The agency did not explain how officials know the former President ripped up said records but pointed to previous reports that the White House Record Management staff had to tape together torn-up documents during the Trump-era.   A spokesperson for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment and a spokesperson for the select committee also declined.
