Food Trends Predicted for 2022

More plant based items are on the way, plus everything bagel seasoning is sticking around and expect some throw back flavors!

Kroger just put out a list of food trend predictions for 2022, and good news for millennials…they’re expecting a lot of throw back flavors including things like fluffer nutter ice cream, peanut butter & jelly sandwich cookies, mini pizza bagels, pimento cheese spread and corn dogs! The research also predicts that “everything” bagel seasoning to be on that list. Be on the lookout for foods from the bakery, to dips and even specialty cheeses that include the popular seasoning. of course, plant based items will also be big. and it’s not just impossible burgers now…you’ll likely see plant based cheesecake, cupcakes, mac & cheese among other indulgent foods.
