President Biden Said he Would be Willing to Sanction Russian President Vladimir Putin
Yesterday, President Biden acknowledged the situation between Russia and Ukraine. The White House said a Russian invasion was ‘imminent’ and America troops have been placed on high alert to deploy to Europe. U.S. and European sanctions have also been readied in the event of an invasion and President Biden also said he’d be willing to apply sanctions to Russian President Vladimir Putin himself, which is a step former presidents have avoided. The president said “This is all Putin. I don’t even think his people know for certain what he will do.” Biden also said he could move U.S. troops into Eastern Europe soon to demonstrate America’s commitment to it’s NATO allies.
