Horry County Schools Considering Dropping Virtual Learning
Horry County Schools are deciding whether or not to drop online learning for the 2022-2023 school year. The schools announced that 42% of its virtual students are failing one or more classes. This is the second year for the HCS K-12 virtual program after it began due to the Coronavirus pandemic when the Department of Education required all schools to create a virtual option for students. The program currently has 2,127 students.
