Myrtle Beach International Airport Sees Record Breaking Year in 2021

Yesterday, Myrtle Beach International Airport officials announced that MYR finished off 2021 with record breaking numbers. In terms of total passengers which includes both arriving and departing flights, they saw 3,210,247 people which is a 188% increase over 2020 and a 23% increase over its previous record year in 2019. MYR’s Director of Airports, Scott Van Moppes said ‘our transition from the challenges and uncertainty of 2020 to the significant recovery of 2021 is a testament to the resilience of the Grand Strand and Horry County.’
