New Details on Florence Shooting Involving County Deputy

The shooting happened at the Southern Pines Mobile Home Park.

According to SLED, a man who was shot and killed during a confrontation on Wednesday by a Florence County Deputy was armed. The man was identified as 27 year old Abdul Timmons of Florence. The shooting happened at the Southern Pines Mobile Home Park in the area of South Oliver Drive and South Dingle Drive. No other information will be released by SLED while the investigation is ongoing.
