The council cited drainage issues as one of the reasons the request was denied.

During a unanimous vote, the Horry County Council rejected a request to bring about 400 homes to an area off highway 905. The applicant, Thomas and Hutton, was requesting to rezone 300 acres from commercial agriculture district to multi-residential in order to build 362 single-family homes on a lot near west bear grass road and highway 905. The council cited drainage issues as one of the reasons the request was denied.
