Man Sentenced For Death of Michael Jordan’s Father Has Parole Terminated
The man sentenced to life in prison for the 1993 death of Michael Jordan’s father will have his case reviewed again for parole in 2023. Larry Dermey was a candidate for parole due to the Mutual Agreement Parole Program, a three-way agreement between the commission, the divisions of prisons and the offender. That agreement has been ‘terminated’ according to the North Carolina post release supervision and parole commission. Last year, he was granted parole and was scheduled to be released in 2023 but the commission announced his release had been pushed back a year this summer.
