18 Arrested and Nearly $15,000 in Counterfeit Goods Seized by MBPD
The MBPD and local loss prevention professionals led the operation in order to curb shoplifting during this holiday season, reduce the impact of crime in the city, and identify people involved in organized retail theft.
The Myrtle Beach Police recently announced the seizure of counterfeit goods worth nearly $15,000. The MBPD and local loss prevention professionals led the operation in order to curb shoplifting during this holiday season, reduce the impact of crime in the city, and identify people involved in organized retail theft. According to law enforcement, “shoplifting is a serious offense that harms our business community and is often related to other serious criminal acts,” which is why pulling off this operation was especially important. In total, 18 individuals were charged and an additional $1,700 in stolen merchandise recovered. The names and charges for all those involved are listed below:
