Woman Arrested After Pursuit Across State Lines
A North Carolina woman is behind bars after leading officers on a pursuit across state lines. According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, investigators conducting a surveillance operation spotted a red pickup truck leaving a high crime area in Tabor City. Authorities attempted to stop the truck but the driver, 34 year old Christina Hernandez failed to stop and a pursuit began during which Hernandez tried to strike an investigator’s vehicle. Horry County Police joined the chase when it crossed into South Carolina. Hernandez is charged with reckless driving, failure to stop for blue lights, and possession of cocaine and is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
