Local Events Taking Place in Honor of Veterans Day

Head out to one of these events or ceremonies as a tribute to those who have served.

In honor of Veterans Day there are many events and ceremonies taking place across our area in honor of those who have served.

The city of Myrtle Beach is holding its annual Veterans Day ceremony at 11:00am this morning. That’s at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Also, a service will be at Veterans Plaza in North Myrtle Beach at the Park and Sports Complex at 11:00am as well.

In an effort to give back, Autoworx Car Wash and Detail Center on South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach is offering free hand car washes all day to veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Another service is planned for Surfside Beach to honor past, present and future veterans. The service is set to start at 2:00pm at the Veterans Memorial in Passive Park at the corner of Surfside Drive and Willow Drive.

A parade will be held and begins at 2:00 pm at East Bay Park down in Georgetown.

Plus, for folks near Florence, the annual veterans day ceremony there will begin at 11 a.m. at Florence Veterans Park and during this event, 36 veteran names will be added to the wall of honor.
