Senator Manchin Seeks More Clarity Before Voting on Economic Package

Yesterday Senator Joe Manchin listed the concerns that will need to be addressed in order to secure his vote for the $1.75 trillion economic package. Manchin cited climate change, taxes, Medicare and immigration and expressed optimism that the deal could be reached and win his support on President Biden’s domestic agenda. Manchin said “if you resolve all those, you should be able to come to an agreement.” Manchin didn’t rule out the time frame that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced earlier in the day when he said he would like to put the bill on the floor the weekend of November 15th.
