Myrtle Beach Firefighters Battle 3 Alarm Fire Last Night

Myrtle Beach firefighters were called to a 3 alarm fire late last night at an office building in the 1100 block of 48th Avenue North. The fire broke out around 8:30 in a building containing several business offices near the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Robert Grissom Parkway. According to Captain Johnathan Evans with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department, firefighters began evacuating the building because of unsafe conditions and shifted their efforts to defensive maneuvers around 10:15 pm. No injuries were reported and an investigation on the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
