3 Charged in Darlington Shooting that Led to School Lockdown

Three people have been charged in connection to the shooting which prompted a lockdown at Darlington's Mayo High School last week. 

Three people have been charged in connection to the shooting which prompted a lockdown at Darlington’s Mayo High School last week.  According to online records at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, 18-year-old Aquavion Lucas is charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen pistol.   17-year-old Demitrius Goins is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.   19-year-old Eric Bacoatee is charged with accessory before the fact of attempted murder and accessory after the fact of attempted murder.  Last Thursday, the shooting took place at the Pine Village Housing Complex and resulted in one person with “very minor injuries.”  The incident prompted lockdowns not only at Mayo High School.  The Darlington Adult Education and the Darlington County Intervention Schools.
