The holiday travel season is quickly approaching and if you’re one of the 23 million Americans who got a dog or cat during the pandemic, you might be thinking about taking them with you when you fly.  Here are some things to prepare for before bringing your pet on a plane.
Make sure you know your airline’s requirements.  Each one has different rules and limits. Plus  they might require certain paperwork or even ban specific breeds. Also, make sure you have the supplies you need.  Make a checklist of things like a carrier, bedding, food, a travel tag, and cleaning items. You’ll want to make sure you have a game plan for calming them down in stressful situations as well. You never know how an animal is going to react to being on a plane. Finally, Set up transportation plans when you land.
