City of Myrtle Beach Offering Relocation Incentive to New Employees

The city of Myrtle Beach is offering thousands of dollars in moving incentives for new employees. Officials announced a $4,000 moving bonus to assist with costs. The incentive is available to any new hire moving from outside Horry County into Horry County to work for the city. City spokesman Mark Kruea said the incentive will come from the city’s general fund and said “it’s going to mostly be for police officers. That’s where our biggest need is but it’s also true citywide”. The city is also evaluating city employee salaries.
