Experts Encouraging Both Covid-19, Flu Vaccines Ahead of Winter

With the upcoming flu season, officials are not only urging Americans to get the Covid-19 vaccine but also their flu shot. FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said  “I think the twin threats of this pathogen and the flu circulating every winter, as Coronaviruses settle into a more seasonal pattern, is going to be too much for society to bear.” And added “I think we’re going to have to re-adjust how we live our lives.”

Currently 55.8% of the  U.S. population is fully vaccinated against the virus according to the CDC. Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the vast majority will likely need to become vaccinated to control the spread. Some businesses, workplaces and schools have already implemented vaccine mandates for their customers, employees and students in hopes of managing the spread but it has sparked outrage between vaxxers and anti-vaxxers.
