The Healthiest Foods That Won’t Break the Bank

Sometimes it seems like the healthier our food choices, the more expensive. There is a way to stretch your dollars though that won’t cost you your health. Here are the three things to add your list to stretch it out this week. Beans. Full of fiber and protein…about 12 cents a serving if you buy them dry. Use them in salads, soups, and eat as snack. Buy your veggies frozen. They can have just as much if not more nutritious value as fresh, at a fraction of the cost. Or, get a chuck roast. For about $8 you can feed a family of 4 and fill them up. Throw one in the crockpot with ranch dressing and let it cook on low all day! Throw in some of those frozen veggies!
