Search for Brian Laundrie Moves to More Targeted Area
The FBI is scaling back it’s search for Brian Laundrie to a targeted area based on intelligence after officials spent over 10 days searching a 25,000 acre nature reserve near the Laundrie home in North Port Florida. Laundries parents told investigators they last saw their son on September 14th three days after Petito was reported missing. His parents told officers he left with a backpack and said he was going to the Carlton Reserve, a source close to the family says Laundrie left his cell phone and wallet behind.
Dog the BountyHunter has joined the search for Laundrie and said he had received several tips after establishing a dedicated tip line. Petito’s remains were found at the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming earlier this month and a funeral was held over the weekend. Petito’s family is expected to hold a press conference today at 1 pm according to their lawyer.
