Georgetown Man Has Charges Upgraded After Victim Dies
A man who was originally charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting in Georgetown has had his charges upgraded to murder after the victim died. Justin Britt was served a warrant yesterday after 26 year old Raekwon Grant died from his injuries on Sunday according to the Georgetown Police Department. In addition to that charge, Britt also faces an attempted murder charge for shooting an 18 year old who police say was driving the vehicle Grant was in. Britt’s other charges also include felon in possession of a firearm and use of a weapon during the commission of a crime. He is currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
