Florence County Armed Robber Identified

Florence County Police Department Investigators have identified the suspect in an armed robbery at an Anderson Brothers Bank as Hugh Dentler. Investigators obtained warrants for Dentler’s arrest for bank robbery, four counts of kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Officers responded to the armed robbery on Tuesday around 8:17 am and learned that a male suspect dressed in camo entered the bank and demanded money at gunpoint then fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident. Dentler is behind bars at the Marlboro County Detention Center for charges unrelated to the incident and will be transferred to the Florence County Detention Center.
