Authorities Continue Search for Brian Laundrie in Florida

Authorities have resumed the search for Brian Laundrie at a nature reserve near his home in Florida. Investigators have spent several days scouring the Carlton Reserve for any sign of Laundrie with the help of dogs, drones and a dive team from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. Laundrie’s parents told police he left their home with a backpack on September 14th and told them he was going to the nature reserve. This morning, Laundrie’s parents also recovered the Silver Ford Mustang that was towed away on Monday during an FBI search.

Petito’s remains were found Sunday at the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. Her death was ruled a homicide on Tuesday after an autopsy. Petito was reported missing by her family on September 11th after Laundrie returned home from a cross country road trip with their white van and without her on September 1st.
