Authorities Resume Search for Brian Laundrie at Nature Reserve in Florida

New details in the Gabby Petito case… Yesterday, FBI agents searched the home of Brian Laundrie, Petito’s fiance who was reported missing over the weekend. Agents escorted Laundrie’s parents from their home so they could execute a search warrant. Agents removed a number of items from the home and a Ford Mustang convertible was also towed away. Investigators also questioned Laundie’s parents inside the home. This morning, police announced they were resuming their search for Laundrie who went missing after telling his parents he planned to spend time at a local nature reserve.

The FBI is resuming their search on the Venice side of the reserve after saying yesterday that they’d shifted their search away from the reserve and ‘exhausted all avenues’. The Laundrie’s attorney was scheduled to hold a press conference today but cancelled the event per the FBI’s request. Human remains that officials believe to fit Petito’s description were found Sunday in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest on the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park. An autopsy is underway and the FBI is expected to release the results later today.
