Labor Day Weekend Expected to be Major Tourism Boost Along the Grand Strand

The number of people spending Labor Day weekend along the Grand Strand is expected to be a major boost for tourism. According to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce lodging forecasting data from KeyData predicts occupancy rates to surpass 90% which is a 10% increase from the same weekend last year and nearly 50% up from the holiday weekend in 2019. The chamber is encouraging visitors to travel responsibly and practice recommended health and safety precautions.
