Covid-19 Cases Continue to Grow in Horry County Schools, Some Switch to Virtual Learning
Horry County Schools is reporting a rise in Covid-19 cases. As of yesterday there are about 9,000 students in quarantine across the district which is up from 6,800 reported on Monday. 45,000 students are enrolled throughout the district which means about 20% or 1 in 5 are in quarantine. There are also 233 staff members in quarantine. It’s been announced that Aynor Middle School and Conway High School will be switching to virtual learning for a two-week period beginning today. Florence School District 4 will also be transitioning to virtual learning for the rest of the week.
