Why Some in Younger Generations Aren’t Getting Their Driver’s License
For some, it's not as big of a deal as it used to be!
Rushing off to the DMV used to be a teenage rite of passage but, data from the Federal Highway Administration showed that in 2018 only 61% of 18-year-olds in the U.S. had a license. That’s down down from 80% percent in the early 80’s. The number of 16-year-olds with licenses also decreased in the same period. The main reasons behind the trend…those without a license prefer more environmentally friendly transportation, the find driving too stressful and they simply don’t care much about cars.
