Horry County Council to Vote on Covid-19 Relief Fund Bonuses

The Horry County Council is considering giving Covid-19 bonus’ to county employees. Each employee would receive a $1,500 bonus if the council approved a tentative plan for how to spend $68.8 million that was given to the county as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. The county’s administration committee approved a resolution sending the plan to the council yesterday afternoon. At their next meeting on September 7th, council members will consider the plan which would allocate $4.25 million for extra Covid-19 pay.
