Texas Governor Greg Abbott Has Tested Positive for the Coronavirus
Yesterday Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced he had tested positive for the Coronavirus. A statement from his office released yesterday said the governor was isolated in his mansion and receiving Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment, he is in good health and not currently experiencing any symptoms. Everyone with whom Abbott had been in close contact with has been notified. Abbott has been opposed to mask mandates and issued an executive order banning school districts from requiring masks. He lifted the state’s mask mandate in March and allowed businesses to open at 100% occupancy despite warnings from public health officials.
