2020 Census Data Shows Growth in Population in Horry County

Since 2010 the state has grown by about 500,000 people to a total population of 5.1 million people. That increase makes South Carolina the 10th fastest-growing state and the 23rd most populous state in the United States. In Horry County alone, the population rose 30.4% to over 350,000 residents. Meanwhile Greenville County saw less growth but remains the most populous county in the state.
